My very first boyfriend in high school, at least the one I first took a high school ring from, was Scot Hein. Scot is now an architect living somewhere in Vancouver and I think of him every single year on his birthday, September 2nd, don’t know why, just do. So, naturually, the architecture in Vancouver makes me think of him…

Scot and I reunited in Wichita, KS after college and became DANCING buddies…Scot was the BEST dancer…I hope you’re happy Scot!

My daughter and I are similar about remembering certain dates. Dates that I will always remember (I’ll probably leave a date out!) are:

Jan 31 – my daughter’s bd, B

Feb 7 – my mother’s bd, A

March 14 – my brother’s death, 2005, DAVID

March 19 – sad day, maybe someday, a happy day

March 24 – S’s bd

April 7 – D’s bd

April 29 – my bro’s bd, D

May 23 – my brother’s bd, who is not with me anymore, DAVID

June 18 – my mother’s death, this year, 2010, A

June 20 – my husband’s bd, R

June 30 – J’s bd, dear friend who is no longer with me

August 9  – my father’s bd, he’s my rock, J

Sept 30 – E’s bd

Oct 4 – my son’s bd, L

Oct 18 – friend’s bd, L

Nov 24 – death of a dear friend, G, 2004

Dec 19 – our anniversary, TODAY is 29 years!! TODAY, bizarre that I happened to have started writing about these dates today…very, very bizarre

AUTUMN IN VANCOUVER…

Although I just got back from Las Vegas…I don’t know, I looked out into the city of Las Vegas from the windows of the Playboy Lounge in The Palms and really…all I saw was flat, flat, flat land covered in lights, lights…and, never mind…it wasn’t at all like the trip I went on just prior. The best part of the trip was working out in the hotel gym so that I could go EAT more at ENVY!!! The filet with garlic mashed potatoes and creamed corn…the belguim waffle with mixed berries, melted butter and warm syrup, the truffle oiled french fries, even the oatmeal with sliced almonds, golden raisins and brown sugar…
