In July 2004, I visited sublime Sydney, Australia. I call it that because it did inspire awe and admiration through it’s grandeur and beauty as a city. It was quite cold (winter then) and I missed the 4th of July in the US, but I did go on the Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb.
Climbing 134m into the sky on top of the world’s largest steel-arch bridge was a huge accomplishment for me since I had just been diagnosed with MS in May and was still suffering some side effects. I thought I might never be able to do something like that again. But, thank God, I could do it TODAY if I was there. I would still be able to. That is something to be so thankful for!
In Sydney, there are walkways and paths and beaches all around the harbour with boats to take you wherever you want to go. Even the zoo!
Of interest: The State of Origin is a series of Australian rugby league football matches (best of three) between the Maroons (representing the state of Queensland) and the Blues (representing the state of New South Wales).
